Rare Earth Series 2021

This series is an exploration into the alluring and detrimental effects of the rare earth elements.

These elements in essence are used to create the power sources and hardware of the technology we use today. Rare earth elements are indistinguishable lustrous silvery-white soft heavy metals, refined rare-earth oxides are heavy gritty powders usually brown or black, but can be lighter colours. 

As wonderful as technology is for humankind, we are quick to turn a blind eye to the harmful effects they have on our minds, our lives and our environment. 

This series is a window to the beauty and the chaos created by the rare earth elements.
